So, I have come down with, what I thought, was some rare inner ear virus that causes periodic severe vertigo. Therefore, I can not drive. Therefore, I am stuck at home. Come to find out, it is not so rare. One person I know from high school said she had it for six weeks. My Sunday School teacher said his father had it for two months. Lovely.
That gives me more time to watch those
"educational" shows on The History Channel, The Science Channel, and NatGeo. The one I am currently watching is on NatGeo concerning SETI: Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence. Now, our little solar system is located on the outskirts of one of the outer arms of our spiral galaxy, The Milky Way. In other words, we are akin to living in Utopia, Texas; population 241 (as of 2000). There is nothing around for miles; not even a major highway.
However, I guess even out in the boondocks sometimes exciting things happen. In August 2010 Utopia was the site of filming for a movie called "Seven Days in Utopia", starring Robert Duvall.
